BIOMED INNOVATION CROWD FUNDING—FAST AND FURIOUS

OPENING PATHWAYS OF INNOVATION AND ACCESS FOR BONE INFUSED PROSTHETICS

Starting in late May, Innovate-A-thon will host a three week innovation sprint focusing on accessibility for bone infused prosthetics for amputees.  While this procedure is not new, it is often challenging for all those who could benefit to actually access this life changing solution.

9-15 students from universities across the US will participate in 3-5 teams to ideate, create, and validate their own innovative solution.  

Every participating student will receive a scholarship.  We currently have more than 50 student applications representing over 30 universities!  

Innovate-A-thon is a nonprofit organization.  Every sprint costs $15,000 – including all student scholarships and costs to recruit, assess, prepare students, and administer the actual sprint.  We rely on private sponsorships, donations, and philanthropists to cover these costs.  

We urgently need to raise $15,000 for this important sprint.  What is the ask?

Please consider contributing to this important cause and/or share this request with your biomed/life science network members.  No contribution is too small. All donors will have access to the final presentations, and those that contribute $1,000 or more can participate as mentors, subject matter experts, and judges, or just hangout during the sessions.  Connect with like minded professionals and innovators, and have direct access to innovative talent.
