When you give to nonprofit Innovate-A-thon (IAT), your gift supports two impactful outcomes: preparing students for the innovation workforce and advancing viable solutions to real problems.
Innovate-A-thon (IAT) welcomes students from over 775 universities across the U.S. to participate in three-week, open innovation sprints. During these sprints, teams of 15-25 students from diverse backgrounds work together to create technically and economically viable solutions to pressing challenges, such as advanced recycling, sustainability, water reclamation, pedestrian safety, above-the-knee prosthetics for developing regions, and closed-loop agriculture.
Students collaborate in teams of 3-5 to conceptualize and validate actionable solutions, with guidance from industry experts and mentors. This hands-on experience not only prepares students for the innovation workforce but also offers valuable exposure to potential employers and networking opportunities. In addition to gaining real-world skills, each student receives a modest scholarship.
For industry partners, IAT offers the opportunity to access cutting-edge solutions that can further their organizational goals. Ultimately, these innovative solutions contribute to creating a better and more sustainable future for society.
As a nonprofit, IAT welcomes your support on Giving Tuesday—and any other day! ALL donations go directly to student scholarships (up to $600 each), and costs of innovation materials. Whether you can give $10, fund a full scholarship, or sponsor and entire sprint, we would love to hear from you and are grateful for your support.
